New Firmware of E71 installed

I don't know exactly why but the 2 GB memory card I received with the E71 got corrupted. So I submitted the card to Nokia Care service centre for replacing it. There I was suggested to upgrade the firmware of my device.

I was not very happy with the camera performance of Nokia E71. As I checked in blogsphere I found some posts where it is stated that with the latest ( v. 210.21.006 ) firmware the low light photos have improved. So I decided to update the firmware version and after taking back up I handed over the handset to service centre. They gave back the handset within half an hour after updating. But as I took the back up from laptop into the phone, the web connection was not working. I again sent the handset to service centre for reinstalling the newest firmware. Then I took only the back up of contacts and calendar and notes. I haven't taken back up of settings etc. Now the web is working excellent, and I am happy with the UI and specially the much faster speed of the native browser.

The improvement with which I'm most happy is the much faster speed of the native browser!

The newly added red and black theme look good, but I still stick to the 'light' theme as it keeps the screen most readable and eye-friendly for writing.

As I still depend on GPRS here, Internet radio etc don't attract me much.

But I am not very happy with the camera improvement. The initial photos taken with the new firmware installed E71 look slightly hazy when taken in low light. The purple stain is a bit reduced, though still very much exists. Will the performance of camera improve with more usage?

Overall, I will suggest upgrading to this latest version of firmware ( v. 210.21.006 ) of E71.
